The food chain will end and the ecological balance of nature will be affected. If herbivorous are killed, then carnivorous won't be able to get food and the will die and if carnivorous are killed then the population of herbivores will thrive to an unsustainable level, and if producers such as plants were killed then the nutrient cycle will not complete.
Will the impact of removing all the organisms in a trophic level be different for different trophic levels? can the organisms of any trophic level be removed without causing any damage to the ecosystem?
