Waste can be categorized into types -a.) Biodegradable waste - Waste that can be decomposed or breakdown by certain biological organism i.e. bacteria are known is known as biodegradable waste.b.) Non - Biodegradable waste - Waste that cannot be decomposed or breakdown by biological organism is known as non - biodegradable waste.This type of waste cannot leave the environment and can cause severe problems which are as follows-1.) Plastics and polythene which are non biodegradable substance can clog drains.2.) Polythene can be ingested by cattle which can make them ill.3.) Land pollution caused caused by non biodegradable substances can effect soil fertility and crop yield.4.) Water pollution can effect the life of aquatic organism and other organism.
