Solution

Given data is \(4, 5,9, 2,6,8, 7\).
Arranging it in ascending order, \(2,4,5,6,7,8,9\)
Number of obeservations \(=7\) [odd]
And, median \(=\frac{n+1}{2}th\) term
\(\Rightarrow\) median \(=\frac{7+1}{2}th=4^{th}\) term
So, median \(=6\)
