Question

Convert each part of the ratio \(1:2:5\) to percentage.

Answer

Sum of the part \(=1+2+5=8\)
\(\therefore \) \(1^{st}\) part \(=(\frac {1}{8}\times 100)\% =\frac{25}{2}\%=12\frac {1}{2}\% \)
\(2^{nd}\) part \(=(\frac {2}{8}\times 100)\% =\frac{200}{8}\%=25\% \)
\(3^{rd}\) part \(=(\frac {5}{8}\times 100)\% =\frac{125}{2}\%=62\frac {1}{2}\% \)
